Suez Canal Crisis 1956

And then it began, the loss of everything I had worked so hard to achieve.  There was nothing left but the remnants of a dream, a once solid foundation by which no one could ever have budged me from my position.  And now I look down the ravine created beneath my feet, and I feel the sense of dread.  What is there left to do but fall?

In this manner I awoke from my dream, and I saw that the world was still in one piece, even if my world was soon to fall into a million microscopic particles…
